Looks super clean as long as it dose the job.

It presents really well apart from the dark colour of the original plastics. The air cleaner housing orange really proves how dark the plastic has gone over time. Maybe I’ll paint the air cleaner housing white to make it look a bit better. The saw cut a couple of blocks really easily yesterday and it seemed to have plenty of grunt.

Can I sound really dumb and ask what sort of wood it is?

had a mixture of 3 logs,, sugar gum Eucalyptus cladocalyx, Euc radiata brown bark with keno pockets and a yellow box Eucalyptus melliodora was the big brute 30inch though vs my 029 20 inch bar, the splitter did the well stuff yellow box was hard stuff amazing fiber as a heavy leaning limb so reaction wood though out

I should be out doing the same, but hurt my back 2 months ago helping some elderly neighbors split up their wood as they had run out from the 3 trees I dropped and cut up the dry wood for them. Gee they got thru that wood quick, and it was a good amount too.
thought I was ok, but move wrong, and it hurts to breathe. Just from lifting one bit that wasnt that big, must have moved wrong when doing so.
Then the muscles next to the pain start acting up and after a week or so, you can barely walk or move your neck.
so sick of this its not funny.
Just want to run some saws and climb some trees, grrrr.
At least we finally got some rain yesterday, its been passing to the west and east around us for weeks now.

not good mate back issues are bad stuff can wreck ya plans my big brother been ruined for years.. i been expecting doing something similar cuz im built wrong with a long spine for moving heavy stuff but just been lucky so far..

Yeah, not fun at all, but it could be worse.
So thats your leech field your re doing ? big trench, half round drainage pieces with cloth, then metal over them, then finally soil ?
Not fun work that unless you have some cool tonka toys to do the digging for you. :)

its mid day, and still only 5 deg outside, how you faring over your way with this antarctic air mass ?

Bugger mate hope you heal up quick.

Gents, about 4 months ago I came across an oil bottle from Total Tools. It’s absolutely perfect for dispensing (priming) fuel into engines. They have a metal twist seal end to them so fuel won’t evaporate and a long stem to get to hard to reach places. So far of 4 months testing it has been fantastic.

Snakes are out an about. Any one know what snake it is . Usually get copperheads here but it looks Brown.

Not sure, but this brown was by my wood shed last year, took some effort to move it out the way so I could get on with things.

Girls saw a snake by the creek edge a few days ago when I was cutting the front paddock, there out, its just that we dont always see them.

Good to have an easy going large snake about, there easy to see, dont see you as a threat, unless you step on them, and take care of the small ropey stupid snakes that strike at anything.

Local guy said its a lowland copperhead. its just the bigger ones I've seen around here were a lot darker. It was sunning itself on the window sill near the front door and really arcked up when I I got to close.

Hey Derwoodi,
saw your pic of the magpie that took a bit out of your ear.

Ive found that riding with my chainsaw helmet on, and the ear muffs resting on the edge of the helmet back a bit gives me pretty good protection, the cheeky sods cant reach your ears.
Last ride I did was the most relaxed ive done in magpie swooping season :)

Clearly you werent bringing enough bacon snacks for them :)
