Nice looking early 90.....nice bar.....But...damn the price is way up there and then add $86.00 shipping......phew!!!!
I have to have my left thumb rebuilt this Dec......think while I'm recovering I should build a bunch of 80s and 90s, 910Es etc and ebay them.....have quite a few....and all the parts to make them go again...

Good luck with the thumb. My thumb "trigger finger" needs fixing this fall.

Robin,
Good luck on the thumb surgery....had wrist surgery and it was a long time recovering completely, unlike I was told. Supposed to have the other one done, but not so inclined at the moment...lol.

Might as well build the saws and cash in.....this inflated market can't last forever.

Decent 90...seems to be all there.....would have been nice to see inside the airbox. I've got a couple to build, but one low hr 90 that's a real sweetheart. 1-2 pulls cold...one pull hot. When it's hot, I don't even have to pull on the cord but halfway and it starts. Why people thinks points are evil is beyond me.

Thanks Kevin...not looking forward. Is going to take nearly a year to get back to fairly normal the Doc says. Gotta have my right shoulder joint replaced in the spring so figgered I better get the thumb done now so I have at least one side still working. Ahhhh ......."The Golden years"....gonna take a lot of gold to get through them!!!

Well, at least your doc is being honest about recovery times.

My surgery was the last scheduled for the day....I was on a gurney waiting. The doc shows up all sweaty and with BO. I looked at him and said we can do this another time, I'm OK with that. He looked at me and said, "Let's do this!" He did it, alright. I'm pretty sure he nicked a nerve, but I'd never be able to prove that. Hence my reluctance to have the other hand done.....at least by him.

Too bad when we get old, they can't make us bionic.......

Well I’m pretty lucky my Doc I’ve known 15 years or more. He is a renowned specialist in hand surgery. He also was my next door neighbor until he and his wife split. His oldest daughter is/ was my daughter’s best friend all through school and was always over at the house. They both moved to Portland Or after college and shared a house with another doctor’s daughter class mate from here...... small world sometimes!

This would be a stellar saw to acquire!! It'll go pretty high I expect........These Super II's are outstanding power/rpm wise. I built a junk one years ago and ported it fairly far......it tuned to 14,400 by ear and using. 13,600 is stock WOT. This saw could also be leaned much higher up towards 15,500 when at a GTG or otherwise wanting to show off. The Super II's have a "bathtub" or "D" shaped combustion chamber.....very high compression is easily achieved and combined with liberal porting creates a superior 61cc saw. I toasted PB in just about evenly compared downed 20" maple and he was using a late 630 Super. I was way up in the limbs and he was still bucking the stem when we decided to take a break. I'm aware this is not a true Jonsereds but this is a good saw and has no Husky equivalent....not to the Super II.....

What are we doing sitting on these old Jonsereds, Robin???

We should sell them all and retire to Tahiti....holy cow!

But ya know what....if it’s Eric’s saw, then it’s gonna be a sweet one, or he’d say so. Good luck to him!

Yep was just down back grilling some chicken and looking back into the cellar at a pair of Ducati's and my venerable 59 PanHead FLH Dresser and thinking.......perhaps when I'm recovering from the shoulder replacement I should Ebay a few saws and do the things needed to these scooters...especially my 59 as that will never leave here.....owned it for 42 years now.....once my shoulder is good to go I need to do some riding!!! Haven't felt confident in my abilities to handle a bike with two up in a few years....damn shoulder can fail at any time.....perhaps the Duc's can go at some point as I'm positive I don't need to be a 170 MPH senior citizen......although.......!! I always did enjoy the power......and the handling....**** they're going no where either!!!!...LOL!!

Holy cow!!! Looks like Eric's thinning the herd!!!! Nice saws!!!!

I'm at a point where I have too much stuff. I need to keep what I need and use. These saws are nice to look at, but I never use them. Plus, they have no family history or local connection. I like a saw with a story.

Well I got back to work on the air leak on the 670 Champ the other day. I tried running saw and spraying around cylinder base, seals, and carb boot with starting fluid. Had no affect on it. I put new crank bearings and seals on this saw. Also a clean up of ports and opened up muffler. I was searching online and found an old post from AS where someone with a Champ had identical symptoms I had. He ended up finding the pulse line loose on the carb. Well my pulse line is in beautiful shape, but did fit a little loose too. I clipped off 1/4" and refitted line to carb. The problem seems to be solved! Saw runs amazing! It feels to have power similar to stock 372s I've run. 20201030_163814.jpg20201030_163806.jpg
