I hope I'm doing this right. I don't know what "stickies" are lol and I believe I've already asked some other guys on this sight but I still don't know exactly what I have here. I'm hoping one of u fine gentlemen can just tell me what I want to hear, my saw is worth a billion dollars and u want to buy it today. If u don't already know the answer to this don't bother googling it all u will find is the evidence of my 3ish months of asking around digging for info. I've scoured the internet many a moon and I've found exactly nada. Here's what I do know. I know that claude poulan sold poulan way back in the day and started another company hoping to make it big again like he did with poulan. It was called pro inc. It didn't work and he shortly went out of business. Mike's acres has like 3 or 4 models listed for pro inc. most of them were just other models rebadged. I can find ZERO info on a pro inc model b40. B 40 b-40 bee fourtee idc how u type it you'll find nothing. It's a sand cast that isn't like any other saw I can find so I don't think it's a rebadge, but I could be wrong. It has a sticker on it that clearly says b40. But on the tag it clearly says the model is bg 40. Neither could possibly say anything else that's what they say 100%. Now u know everything I know about the saw. What i really feel like in my heart that mr.poulan knew he only had like 30 days left on this Earth so he tirelessly worked on his last greatest masterpiece day and night and then on the 30th day as he lay on his death bed he could barely speak so his grandson leaned was down where he could hear claudius maximus whisper "atop the mantle, betwixt the 2 chainsaw angels guarding her, lies my life's work, my most glorious achievement. Tis your duty to brave the savage jungles of the earth sawing down any beast that may dare cross your path on your journey to Tennessee. For it's destiny is to fall into the hands of a great warrior in that far away land. We poulans shall bequeath unto this warrior my last gift upon the Earth. My love, my essence, my perfection....the b40."
If anyone can verify this story, please let me know. If u have one scrap of evidence to the contrary... keep it to yourself ain't nobody got time fo dat.

I think it’s worth at least a mill. But, alas, I just spent my last dime on a truck load of Pioneers, Macs, and Homelites. There were no old sand casts, or they would be in my garage now. I think my Super 68 is one of the coolest saws in my collection. Keep us informed with what you find.

This is for you Mr sidwell

Its finally mine to keep:)

I really miss mine. Wished this never happened. It was sentiment to me. It was my late farther in-laws and I bought it from my brother in-law for $500. It drove great and could turn around on a dime. Was getting around 25mpg. It had a 5 spd trans 2wd.

Is a real shame Steve and still think your very lucky though. I didn't realize they made them in 2wd. Only ever see 4wds here.

They are fun little things. I fit half a dozen saws in the back of mine and gear. I fill a 2M trailer of wood and it pulls it no worries a tad more than half a cord and 2 adults still peels 130km loaded up lol but 90 is nice:)

Is that a Samurai? I started to buy the Chevy version, Geo Tracker. I wound up buying the Geo Metro. 3 cylinder with 5 speed. Got 60 MPG right on the button. Loved it. But, at 125K miles it just started falling apart.

that should buff out.....:)

Hello, I am in need of crankshaft seals for a Poulan 361. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a source? I have a minor air leak and hesitate to destroy the seals trying to get them out and then attempt to match up new seals.

The samurai is smaller again and live front end vs IFS in the vitara/escudo/sidekick/tracker/nomad. Lol lol too many names

Growing up in Pennsylvania (AKA the rust belt of America) my Uncle had a Samurai 4x4 for over 10 years . I think he paid a high end body shop to rebody and paint it twice! I see some nice ones down in mine and Steve's part of the country.

Yeah the salt is rough on vehicles luckily don't get that here so if kept semi clean stuff lasts a long time. This we thing is rust free except the passenger door. I have a spare to throw on same colour too:)

Got some muds lined up and an auto locker would be amazing

They are fun lil SUVs to have. I wished mine would have buffed out. I remember when the Trackers first came out. We had gotten a 4wd 2 door hard top without a/c in at the dealership. No one would buy it. I told them I wouldn't buy it either without a/c. One week later it had a/c and one week after that it was sold. That was the last time they ordered one without it. I liked the lil Metros also. The LSI was really fast. I believed it had a turbo. Tough lil motors they had for sure. Never seen a better three cylinder engine than those.
