Rectangular vented insert. Must be a old gal? Fill us in on what make/model insert you want to install.

I forget the brand,it has a fan underneath the firebox that blows hot air out of 2 vents on the front beside the doors. It also has 4 round chokers, 2 small ones on the top of the doors and 2 larger ones on the bottom of the doors.

Round chokers? Do you mean air supply knobs/caps? Many old stoves equipped like that are well beyond what your homeowners insurance will cover if that is a concern. Something to maybe look into. Get us a few pics if you get time. Always fun to check out stove's.

Installing a stainless insulated flex liner is a great move for safety and efficiency. Most modern EPA approved/UL listed stove's run on 6 inch diameter venting. Many old school stove's ran on 8 inch. Something else to consider when investing in a liner.
