Hmm...had about 7 trees down in my dad's yard: 4 Bradford Pears w/tons of leaves/limbs, 1 Redbud tree & 35 ft Red Oak...all except the rootball & about a full load of oak is cleaned-up. Burn pile had reached 15 feet...now it's at 2 inches...lol

Hello ReggieT: Stihl 034. Came out in 1984, with a 3.45cc engine. Drive Sprocket with 3/8" pitch ~7 teeth. Bar length from 16" up to 28", with a 3/8"pitch x .050" gauge Bar. That was standard as best I can tell. As with most saws it can be adapted to fit the .325" pitch with .050" or the .063" gauge bar, but the saws Drive Sprocket has to be changed accordingly too.
      Hope this help. :)

Thanks my friend...what is the best fuel mix for the 034 & 025...I'm thinking about just going with the stuff called "Opti-2"...

I don't know much about Opti-2 other than it is a 100 to 1 mix ratio. That's a little thin , and you may have to re-adjust your carb to accommodate it. I use a 50-1 mix oil and add more to acquire about a 40-1 ratio for all my old and new saws.

Slow here. Weather hasn't been the best for outdoor projects. I repaired our lawn trailer. Badly rusted through in several spots, and I finally put a stiffener under the tongue. It kept bending when I filled the trailer with oak or hedge splits. I guess it wasn't in too bad of shape considering it's almost 50 years old. I've been working on a mod to my splitter, to make it retract and park automatically. So your Mrs has decided she like hedge? You must be keeping the home at the right temperature. ;o)

Since I've been on here, I swapped my ole hunting boots for a pair of loggers. My ball cap for a hard hat, and thinking of getting one of those w/face guard and earmuffs. Got some better saws too. I already had my chaps after I zapped my left knee. They are costly, but not near an ER visit.:chainsaw:
