Spent the day pulling out logs. This was the second trip and forgot to take a pic at the end of the day. I'll take another one end of day tomorrow. Mostly Hickory with some Beach thrown in.

Man, that's sweet.

Here I am rubbing two sticks together and you're walking around with a zippo!

Wood and Equipment

Now that is a good score and you have the equipment to bring the big ones to one area. That makes it real handy when cutting them up and splitting.

I dream about a setup like that ... I'm looking forward to more pics.

Cheers

Here's a couple more pics from today.

Forgot to take a pic of the pile when I finished for the day, but I've got thirty logs right now. I'll get them bucked and split before I pull any more out.

Laird, whats the rod sticking up in the air near the front of your loader in the last pic?

How many acres you have there?

Was that an extant road or did you have to dut it out yourself?

About 300 acres in timber and I made the road in the early 80's. It follows the ridge line through the property and has spurs on the off shooting ridge lines. All told there are about 6 miles of timber roads. Helps us get a better price when we have a timber sale if they can get it out easier.
