I had Yokohama Geolander AT+II's on my truck before and they worked really well off road but are expensive. Now I have Republic Trailmark M/S's, they work well off road and the price is right.

Boggers are nice, but they suck for daily driving. I'd buy a set of all terrains and run tire chains for off roading.
 
Bfg mud terrain good for the goo and the road. I also like the all terrain outstanding in the snow as well as mud and pavement.:cheers:
 
had some buckshots on my toyota and they did great off road and they wore like iron, a buddy of mine bought the same set for his 3/4 ton chevy and they wore plum out in 20 k miles. the rubber is so soft they didnt last well on a 6k pound truck.
 
I have had good luck with my firestone destinations A/T. My buddy has the M/T's and he likes them as well. Expensive though.

We need pictures of the skidder truck! My buddies and I are working over an area of tops from a logging operation, we have his toyota (with 268k :)) for a skidder. It has been fun so far and it has worked well. That truck assures me that these yota's can't be beat in the woods.

Light pickups don't wear out mud tires nearly as fast as heavy trucks in my experience.

I was going to recommend the Goodyear MT/R's but then I saw that he was going to put them on a 3/4ton...

My Toyota 4x4 pickup weighs 3875lbs and the used 32X11.5 MT/R tires that I put on it 5 years ago (60,000 miles) are still going strong. Whereas I talked to a guy that had a superduty and said that the MT/R's burnt off in 20,000 miles.

Something that is a commercial mud tire might be a good bet as well; simple and tough. I like the look of the Toyo M-55 (never used them though).
 
Cant beat the Super Swampers in the mud...but strictly for the mud, and definately not for hauling.

Had a friend who had the BFG M/T and they wore well on the highway, and pulling a 16ft enclosed trailer. He got 30K out of them. You cant expect much more than that on a designated M/T.

Not a bad deal, $88 to ship 4/30 x 9.50's to my door. I may do that for my GMC. What ply are the ones you got?

Which tread are you running? I've got a Suburban and I'm looking at the Guard Dog or the Warden.
