Has anyone replaced the door caulking on their stove yet if so what kind of caulk did you us and how did you go about doing it should you shut the door all the way or leave it open a little after you put the new caulk on.can anyone give me some good thoughts on this thanks

there is fire rope under the silicone...leave it open...just fill the gap and slick it off with a piece of card board and let it dry for 48 hours....

I'm ready to do mine now . Talked to shaver and they said to clean off the old ,fill up the gap completley with regular black silicone. (They said the reg silicone is better than the hi temp stuff because its more flexible).Once you fill the gap you put wax paper on it and lightly shut the door . let sit for half a day.
