Email from Sherrill was adverting these seminars. Found one fairly close to me and was wondering if they were worth the time and money or if they were more like a Time-Share spiel? "This is how you climb safe-wanna spend 30K?"

Go to it. Them are made up there by you. (In Peoria?) I caught one of their shows at a grounds maintenence expo awhile back. Quite good. The mashed potato had onions in them though.

I have enjoyed them. Been going to them for around 5 years now. Some are better than others, but I usually walk away with some new knowledge. Its good to meet and talk with other tree guys.

I don't think you'll find it like a timeshare. Sherrill stuff is on display and for sale but there is no pressure to buy, except from yourself. I find it impossible not to buy something.:msp_rolleyes:

I just signed up for the one here in a week, its free of charge, you get 5 CEU's for your certification and everyone I've spoken to says they are very worth while. Also I figure its a good sign that they budgeted for like 250 people or so and they are up to over 300 and had to change buildings to accommodate the numbers. Just my 2cents

I went to one probably 7 years ago. It was good. They do help you figure out which gear you need to buy...but not in a pressure sales sorta way. When they show how gear works that you don't own, you will see no other choice but to buy it.

Hey Incomplete, where in Illinois are you? Just curious, we're up north almost by the Wi border. I'm heading down to Vermeer next week for the seminar as well, sounds like its gonna be a packed event.

I'm going Tuesday at Goodfield. Was going to be at the Monday meeting in Moline but the lady I spoke to knew more about my state geography than I did, so she saved me about an hours worth of driving.

Im attending one in goodfield, i think the date is the 26th i would have to double check. Suppose to be pretty interesting. They are suppose to be doing a rigging/climbing demo.

Ha we must have just sent that at the same time.

We're here at the one in east moline now doing the father son thing. First drawing of the day I pulled my son's name for a sweatshirt. Lol.

Todd Krammer with Krammer Tree Specialists, Inc. out of west chicago is doing an excellent job presenting and working overtime on breaks with climbing and rigging questions. Very impressive.

Todd Kramer will be in Goodfield tomorrow as well, I'm pretty excited to experience his presentation as he is a very knowledgeable guy.

Was there. Enjoyed it. Free coffee, free food, excellent presentation by two guys who love their job. Was looking for you Climber. Sorry if I missed you.
