I think the sellers on fleabay would be the epitome of the true 'capitalist'. Misrepresenting items, asking prices that only ebay can support and reaping the benefits of a distorted supply & demand system.

I think being a true capitalist is representing things as perfectly as possible and getting as much as someone will pay. I'd like to think I fall into that category in my eBay sales. Its kind of the point unless you have all the money you can use and are so board you take time to list items on eBay for fun. I think what you described is known as a crook.

Well fear not, e-Bay is acting on behalf of the socialists to screw it up again.
1) Sellers cannot give neg feedback no matter how much of a scumbag the buyer is.
2) Paypal freezes your money until the seller is able to damage the item and then file a dispute.
3) Sellers are penalized for less than 5 star feedback.
4) Sellers have the burden of proof in a dispute, the buyer only has to make a claim.
Buyers should be aware of the "Caveat Emptor" rule!
It isn't the sellers fault if the buyer doesn't do his research, know what they are buying, and know the worth.

No, not even close. True capitalists know that those actions will put them out of business since buyers will quickly learn that the product delivered is not what was represented/what they paid for and conduct transactions with other merchants. My theory on most ebay pricing is pretty much the same as most vehicle collisions: too much stupidity trying to occupy the same space at the same time. :biggrinbounce2:
Don't forget:
5) Buyers can forget to update their address after moving, so you ship the item to the wrong address. Buyer files an "item not
received" claim and ebay takes the money back. Later when the item is actually delivered after several weeks of wrangling, ebay
penalizes you because the item wasn't delivered "in an acceptable time frame."
And speaking of research, one guy wanted me to refund his money on an 066. He said it ran great and cut wood "like a Banshee,"
but was "too heavy" for him to use.
Just tell me where he lives, I'll send Bubba and for a case of beer both knee caps are history......

Hello people , I'm working on a Stihl 029 with weak spark. I'm looking to convert to an electronic ignition. I think all I need is the coil and the flywheel will work fine, if I'm wrong please chime in.

I've never heard of a 029 with points, I thought they all had CDI........

Actually, some of that is not true.
1)The seller can report a deadbeat, no pay buyer.
2)Paypal is freezing the sellers money because the buyers are using PayPal backed by a credit card. Buyers using a bank account makes the money go rapidly to the seller.
3) This is correct, which is weird.
4)I've had sellers weasel out of a claim because didn't buy insurance that wasn't offered by the seller. Another time I had a package delivered that didn't require a sig...never got the package and even though the seller had insurance, he refused to use it. I lost the claim.
So ya see, it isn't always the windfall for the buyer that you suggest...especially if you're honest. I also remember an ebay were the sellers ran ramshackle over the buyers with bullying and intimidation. Complain about a item and you immediately got negative feedback as a buyer. They became known as the 'feedback wars', remember those? Buyers afraid to jeopardize their rating by complaining to the unscrupulous sellers. Obviously the system was broken and ebay restructured and overacted in the other direction with the system in place today. The bad sellers only have themselves to blame. Honest sellers and honest buyers are the default whipping boys on ebay today, while the scum do business as usual, albeit on a smaller scale than previously.

You are correct, it's an early 028 with points and condenser and the spark is weak, looking to convert to an electronic ignition. I believe 024 ,026, 028, 029, 038,044, 046, 064. 066 ignition will work.

Does anyone have some torched AM cylinders? Friend of mine is making a tool to cut squish bands and cylinder bottoms but needs some DOA/KIA Cylinders to test cutter angle and speed on. He'd like some AM cylinders that have been over chromed into the combustion chamber so he can test the tool against chrome plating.
I don't have any junk aftermarket cylinders but I have loads of scored up OEM jugs your friend could practice on.

I beg your pardon, but every word of that is true!!!!!
1) Reporting a scumbag non paying bidder, has nothing to do with leaving feedback. The non paying bidder issue is between e-bay and the non payer. It has nothing to do with letting future sellers know that the buyer is a scumbag.
2) No matter how rapidly the money goes to the seller, if a buyer files a claim, e-bay freezes the amount of the sale in your account until the dispute is resolved.
