The load of logs I bought last year cost me $700, which I figured to be around $80 a full cord. A cord of processed sells for about $225 to $250 for hardwoods.

The cords per load depends on the loader operator and the size of the logs. The first triaxle load I got was 16 inch plus, and netted me less than the current load of logs that averages about 8 inches.

My neighbor got a triaxle load (he said around 6 or 7 cord) for $350. He said it's a local guy he has dealt with for many years. I have been contemplating asking for the guy's number...

100$ per cord or green butts, chunks or logs. Yes, the real cord, the only kind there is and it is 128 cubic feet. The shape of the cord doesn't matter, it's a volume.

What are you waiting for, the trees to grow bigger?
