Want to Buy large JUNK Bar

Got a craft project going on. Looking for a dirt cheap, junk 42" bar, + or - 6". Can be bent as long as I can beat it back out flat. Preferably one that is just worn out.

No swords or blades. Gonna make a sign. I bought a 20" bar on ebay, that someone had used a plasma cutter to cut out the words "saw shop" in it.I hung it in my garage. I built a wood shed last year and I am gonna get some one with a plasma cutter to cut out "wood Shed" on it and hang it on the shed.

You can make you're own out of 2 shorter bars. Here is mine I still need to finish it. 2 24inch bars welded together

Any reason if you are going to do it plasma cut why you could not use a piece of flat stock and just cut it out to look like a bar , could make it any size you choose.

I thought about that, cutting out a bar from a piece of metal. I want the real deal, not a look alike cut out.

I can see why , no chain groove , maybe a roller nose just won't be the same. It would look good from a distance but as you say just not the real deal. It was just a thought. I might do one here at my work on the water jet just for the fun of it. I have access to a full machine shop and next time I am bored might see what I can do.

So how about a big bar that's not dirt cheep, just regular cheep, or maybe inexpensive? any one got one of those the want to get rid of?

Do you have ant dealers or repair shops near by? Maybe they have an old one they took off a saw they repaired??
