Porting a MS441CM or getting 660

I use whatever I have on hand. If finish doesn't matter as much chisel chain is faster than semi chisel.

How is square file for milling? When I did my project, I was not using square yet. I imaging it would be good, but I have not tried it yet.

I found out i can get an HD2 for my BG 86 blower, i better be careful so i don't blow the house off the foundation

buy the wood milled and seasoned. why wait around for the wood to warp then learn to mill then buy the mill...the plane, then .....ugh
unless the wood has some personal value that exceeds reasoning...then you take the wood to a mill and let them do it....

I do. I've got most of the parts here to put one together. Its not a 10mm though, but a weaker 12mm, and it will have a 440 jug installed on it.

I skipped past the HD2 for my 86 and went straight to a velocity stack

Also, have you put that 7900 to the wood yet? Looks like UR saw stable is getting very strong!

Work has been too busy. I start at 7:00 and sometimes I'm still at it until midnight. My brother and I are a little swamped right now.

So have a MS441CM... I have alot of cedar on my property, and the future misses wants me to make a couple of benches and a table for when we get married. Saw a couple Alaskan Mills at Baileys for around $200.... Not looking to do a ton of milling, but was wondering if the MS441 would be up to it probably do a couple 28-30" cuts, most the stuff would be smaller....

Looking at possibly having it worked over (been off the forum for a while, but who is a good person to do the 441CM saws)?

Other option is to buy a MS660, though at $1200 OTD from the dealer I would probably have to sell my 441 to buy it, and not sure Id be happy with the weight of it for my other cutting....

So, thought, opinions, advice....

Get Moobs to Port that 660, put an 8 pin on it with a 30" Ba, and rock out

I've run ported 660s at GTGs that are extremely strong, but they are heavy saws. If I were going to buy something in that class, I would wait for the 661. Lighter, stronger, more fuel efficient, and has M-Tronic.

Moobs660s are on here for sale from time to time as I'm sure TL's are
