Begs the question if your current Boiler is up to the additional load.

Replace it was a Gasser and burn 10 cords?

Save up the big stuff for when he comes back to visit. Some of the 3 point splitters can be flipped over so they are inverted , so you can lower it onto a log ( not sure if your controls are on the splitter)
Or cut the big rounds into shorter lengths maybe 6 inch,,and split them in half.
