Did my first wood hall for this winter, have all the wood for this winter and just about next, so what we get this year will be sold. My grandparents had some pine that came down about 6 weeks ago, so we went and cut it up.

Have a bunch of saws that I'll get to try out this year. Last year I ran a 44, 55, and 2100. Sold all but the 44 which is now up for sale. This year I'm going to probably run, 350, 262, and 390. I ran the 262, that I converted from a 261, and I couldn't keep from smiling. I also ran my 350, that I converted from a 340. Put a flat top piston, and muffler mod, that made a tremendous difference.

It was pine wood, but I like to mix it in with what we have already cut. Pics are coming, I still have to split the load of wood. Now for the question... Who all has started cutting for this year? What are the main saws you're running, if you had to keep it down to 3 saws?

Ran a 20in bar on the 262:

Ran a 16in on the 350:

I know, need to get a screen on that muffler mod yet!

And the load we brought home:100_4296.JPG

Left all the smaller stuff, as my granddad doesn't mind working with it!

I only got two saws that are my go to saw my ms 290 and ms 391 both with muffler mod and tuned carb the 391 has the 25" bar on it and I'm actually starting to like it a little more then the 290. The 290 has a 20" bar on it

the ring broke in my 455 rancher auto tune. so needing a saw on the fast for storm clean up I hooked up with a new 460. "surprised"! right off the shelf that it took off on a dead run with no lag in the hot summer sun with high humidity! auto tune compared to the carb history, there's still room in my stable for the old machines! no need for a computer to readjust the settings for this one!

Echo 305 with 14" bar and Stihl 660 with 25" bar, Homelite 1050 with 36" bar. May switch up on any given day, or put a 24" bar on the old Homey, and a 36 on the new Stihl. If you try to make me think about it I'll never get anything done, too darn many saws, Joe.

Mainly using a husqvarna 51 with a 55 top end and a 044 for most of my firewood. The 064 gets used for milling. I did have the 038 super out a few times.

All great saws showing! Mainly this year, 346xp, 371xp (just broke a clutch spring on that one though) and now the 394xp (stunt double optional)

I bought a 455 Rancher this spring and still haven't used the first can-o-gas through it. However, I'm planning on getting a tri-axle load of wood in the next couple weeks and will then use it ALOT more. I emptied out the old Poulan and cleaned it up and stored it away. Right now in the midst of piling 5 cords in the 32 C degree heat.

edit: just finished piling and am off for an ice cream.

Using the only saw I own, Husky 455 Rancher with a 18" bar. great all-around saw for me, but it has been idling a bit off i think. Almost wants to stall out sometimes. Probably needs to be tuned.
