too bad tilton basically went the way of the dodo bird............I reviewed the Olympic 254 before it came out and the few changes I suggested were incorporated in the finial design. As a salesman with Tilton Eq Co. I had all the models for demos. They had their problems like all saws, but overall, they were good saws that were well priced. I did find it hard to talk to management, however, the engineers were down to earth and was ready to talk saws way into the night. It has been years since I have seen one in person.
They are tough old saws. I use this one every so often still.first saw I ever owned,,but after three years,,a 264 took its place..needed more cubes, yah know!!!!
