Stihl plastic colors

I have a Stihl 026 that has the brighter orange color and picked up one that's like a brownish/burnt orange. I've never seen one that color. It's in great shape so I'm guessing that has nothing to do with the color difference.

Are the older ones the brownish color?

You can see the color difference between those 2

Part of that may be paint fading or sunburning. Buy a new plastic part for one and see the difference.

Yeah, my 039 has that darker coloured plastic; I assumed it was either a lifetime of sun, or oil, or something like that, or a different manufacturing plant. Still goes like a scalded cat, so I'm not complaining.
