My first MS440 was an absolute bear about kicking back. Then I discovered that by setting the flywheel as far retarded as possible there was NO MORE kicking!
It's only a couple of degrees but it makes all the difference.

Carb passed pressure/vac test and regaled coil to .010. David young suggested completely closing the h jet and voila!! Backed it out 1/4 turn and it's too rich. Gonna swap the h jet from the wj-69 and see what difference it makes.
