bobL method, i found 3° works best for what i do and it allways cuts like new
Wow. Just 3°? Did you find it too grabby beyond that? Apart from extremely dense, dead gums, I'm somewhere between 6° and 8°. Even in the aforementioned hard going wood, it's still about 5-6°
 
Ha got my augers back ,didn't use them by the looks,any way here's some pics
