That's cool. At least now you have the option on how to adjust tension. I suggest at least trying the Intenz system since you will have it on there anyway. I didn't care for it but you may like it after trying it.

i've had no problems with the intenz. it may be a little gimmicky, but it is really more convenient than that little hard to find adjuster screw on my other husky...i just love my ( 1 pull..starts everytime) 335xpt...it could use a little more power like the stihl 020 has but no probs so far. my intenz didn't freeze up once all winter, but i keep it well oiled and clean...good lick..i mean luck, b

Speaking of a problem...

<IMG align="left" src=http://www.uwsp.edu/stuorg/ssa/jojo1.jpg>I was working as a groundman under this elm (hazard deadwooding - I know about DED) when Jojo's saw fell apart above me. Ever since then, I've been sure to wear my helmet because I remember the bar, the chain, the housing, the chain break, and the nut falling around me like it was raining chainsaws.

I'm with you, Brian, I don't like the Intenz either. Finicky, hard to fine tune correct tension. Move it just a bit and it tightens/loosens a lot. If the bar is a tiny bit loose (which of course it shouldn't be) it will loosen right up. No big deal, I can live with it, but took the adjusters off an old saw and switched bars anyhow.
I am wanting to put a traditional adjuster on my echo 3400, can you tell me which saws have compatible tensioner parts?
