550xp problem

550xp 1 year old i took it to work noticed it had a gas smell when i got back in truck. There was some gas on floor mat and it was flooded wouldnt start cleaned it up no start again it doesnt seem to get gas now any suggestions

Check the fuel lines make sure they're all connected and look for a crack or holes. After that the carb meetering lever may be sticking open or closed.

One year old??? Did you consider taking it to the dealer?? It should be under warranty!

I bought it online no local dealers just box store stuff. Still wont start with gas squirted in carb or cylinder. So im taking it to stihl shop

The problem followed me to a different saw so I dumped all the gas which was fresh mixed a new gallon no problems since. I was using klotz when it happened and it was near zero out?

ya, I hate it when I forget to tighten the fuel cap also ....I also try to blame the saw
