Anyone know the reason(s) Stihl doesn't sell ripping chain in the US? Liability issues perhaps?

Not sure. I believe I heard Logosol was the only place to get it. Seems like it would be a good seller. Not sure why they don't get into the game. Many people running chainsaw mills.

I use the Stihl 404 ripping chain on my Alaskan. Superior chain for hardwood if your powerhead is big enough.

I filed some cutters down like a modified Granberg chain . I noticed the chains stay sharper much longer than others that I’ve used.

I purchased them on chainsaw bars.co.uk . They run sales often.
