Well, I ended up straying from stihl and was able to find a husqvarna dealer within 45 minutes from me by a recommendation from a friend. I ended up with a new 372xp and after using it once am pleased with it. Thanks for all recommendations and advice. View attachment 674558 View attachment 674559

Very nice. FYI, husky sells their wrap handles for those saws crazy cheap.

In case you want to try one out.

My budget is $800 or below mostly. I really like the ms441 and ms461 but just cant justify spending $1000 or above on a chainsaw at this moment in time.
The Stihl ms462 around my way is close to 1500.00 if you are going to spend around 800 I'd recommend the ms362. It's a great all around saw a step up from your 261 for sure. It's the next pro saw in line after your 261. So if you are happy with that you will be amazed at the 362 with a pro chain and 25in bar. You won't be disappointed!
Also for a little more you can get an E ho 7310 which is 73cc and with some simple mods will hang right with the 462 and comparable Husqvarna products. I'd personally for what you said you would be cutting the 362 is the way to go!
