I bought this new around 1993 used it for firewood till 2000 then gave it to FIL in 2002. Got pinched and the bar twisted almost off and he put it back in its case. He passed a year ago and I’m going through his shop today. I hope the pictures loaded. I can buy a used crankcase from eBay. It’ll need a bar and chain. Worth doing? What would a shop charge? I’ll apologize in advance if this is covered already. No WiFi here at his place and the iPhone is prett tedious10BCCC42-F113-4D3D-A222-F41643FC85FD.jpeg4A8EC895-B96E-4C74-BE38-86D18B56D1B1.jpeg

I'd fix it if it runs good. Get the $28 case with the adjuster and there are bar and chain combos for under $40. It's not hard to fix, just take pictures as you go. I always take pics of the chain brake parts and the wire routing for the kill switch In case I forget how it was.

Here is one I did, plastic case was cracked. I replaced the bearings, seals, and rings.
Case $28
Rings (caber) $13
Oem crank seals $12
Bearings (6202 c3 nachi quest) $12 for a pair

If you can do the work yourself, which apperantly you can I’d do it just because you can. You already have parts needed works out and know what your doing for what it would cost you’d have another saw.

Thanks for all the replys! The $28 one appears to have all I need. I’ll go through the bag of parts tomorrow. I’ll need to find a parts diagram to see what might be missing and make sure I put it back together correctly. Need to clear some bench space!

The bumper spike is bent but could be straightened. The chain sprocket cover has a crack but it should still work

The sale ends in 5 hours, so hurry to order, but here is what you need, along with a new set of oem seals.
