I have 2 of them ,they are very good saws imho. Same series as the 272xp ,268 se and the 268xp.
Under the handle on the clutch side should be a black ID plate . Good luck with the saw .
Check ebay for current selling prices

Thanks for the info I saw the plate in the picture looks like it's almost completely stripped looks like bare aluminum probably won't get a chance to see it in person until the end of the week

I dunno, metal tank, frankensaw...
162se or 166 or heated 266 with an aftermarket 272 top cover...?
Id plate would likely be silver.
See if the front top cover screw lines up with the hole in the case.

It looks like it could even be as large as a 181se. A pic of the area above the fuel cap would help.[/QUOTE)

Most likely won't see it until the end of the week so these pictures are all I have to go off of I'm going to try to get him to send me a better picture of that side of the saw01313_eHQqFiKYyb8_600x450.jpg

Didn't notice the chainbrake, it may very well be a 181,or 266. Both of the ones i have owned had that chainbrake,268,272 didn't.

Here's my old 268SE/XP. It originally had the old style chain break on it and a metal tank like the 162 I sold it for $185. Nice saws with a lot of low rpm power.IMG_1343.JPG

Ok new question I have two 3120s to look at one supposedly only needs a coil and the other one is kinda tore apart powerhead is still together but tank and handle are off what tools will I need to bring with me to remove the mufflers to check the Pistons and what would these be worth assuming they don't need cylinder and pistons replaced no bars just power heads
