Oops, sorry. Not sure why this showed up on my feed.
Start small and see what the market does in your location. It takes time to build a customer base so don't get too excited if things start slowly. It will also give you time to figure out how to do things more efficiently. Don't be afraid to sit on your stock and wait for a better price. The good thing about firewood is if properly stored, it has a long shelf life. Good luck!

Have no idea what the most used wood is in your area logs,splits, decorative firewood with a once in a blue moon burn be prepared to diversify as fads come & go also unless you have a regular supply of wood it can be a bit "iffy"unless you get your pallets for free you'll have to add on to the log price if you get given pallets don't use the blue/or green colored ones as they have been treated & if burnt give of toxins & if joe public burns along with the logs it could cause problems make sure that the logs you sell have a moisture cont 20%or south we find this more important than seasoning although our wood usually s 2/3 years old be prepared to modify your product to suit demand
No problem. It always cracks me up when an old thread surfaces and I'm reading along, and come across a post and think, "wow, I couldn't have said that better myself". Then realize it was a post I responded to 7-8 years ago.
