Looks like my last official how much does that chainsaw bar weigh thread was lost in the linkpuck shuffle so I started it again.
Please feel free to post up pictures of different bars on a digital scale. This really may be useful for someone trying to decide on
a chainsaw bar.

Finally got the 25" Sugihara Lightweight Bar in 3/8 .050. Going to use it with the Homelite410 spacer on the 70cc Ported Jonsered.
Bar weighs 2 lbs 12.8 oz The Sugihara is 2 oz less than the 28" techlite bar.

AWESOME DUDE! You have no idea how long I've been looking for these Info's! Especially the Sugis weight in the 25. There's plenty of info kicking around about the bigger light weight bars but could never find anything on smaller & OEM stuff. Is there anymore to come? Thanks again for your time & info my friend!

I actually picked up that bar today. My first Sugi ! I went to buy back, the 25 ES Light I traded in for my 28, but someone had bought it. So I decided to try Sugi-Hara, because I always seen good about them here.

Yeah, they are a lovely bar, good hardness, but the ES is a lighter bar by quite a bit, but for strength and durability, its a winner, along with the GB and Tsmuras too, let us know what the balance is like on your 462.

I took it out and cut some limbs, and it is heavier than the 28 ES Light, but the balance feels good. Ill hang it by the handle tomorrow and take a pic. Balances real nice!

Just noticed your bar was a .063, mine is .050. Mine is ST2U-0Q63, and I put a RSF on it. Mark Chisholm suggested I Use skip chains, and I haven't turned back. They cut faster and sharpen faster!

The Sugi will be my full time bar for the 462, and the 20" ES Light is going on my 261. Also, since getting the 462, I have zero use for the MS360. With all these storms, I'm keeping the 261 and 462 in my jeep, along with extra bars and chains.

The 462 is just a wee bit nose heavy with the 24/25 Sugihara on it. It's right there with the 28" ES Light. So I'd say balance is great! It was raining all day, so I did not get pictures. Tomorrow, I'll hang the saw up supported by the handle bar and you can see for yourself. I know one thing, it really looks sweet with the new (Larger) sprocket cover, and the Sugi bar. Not sure how heavy the extra cutters would be, but I am running a Stihl RSF chain.
