Hi guys

I have replaced my rope door gasket on my stove. Tight seal with the paper test. Now after maybe 2-3 weeks of burning my glass seems to develop 2 black spot on the lower part of the door. Could it be the glass door gasket ? i.e. the gasket between the glass and the door frame). Should I care about it ?
Thanks

If it isn't whistleing then I doubt air is leaking thru it. That is what mine started doing when the door glass seal started leaking.

See those two ash blobs right behind the dark spots? You probably had logs up close to the glass so that the air wash was blocked to those areas. I would clean the glass, make sure nothing is close to the front of the stove, and try it again.

Did it not collect soot there before?

My Blaze King will stay dirty at the bottom of the glass.

Yes it tends to collect soot at those two spots after 2-3 weeks of burn time. But since I replaced my worn door gasket, I thought that maybe my glass gasket can be worn too.
