Well this happened

So obviously piston is toast, but would you still run the cyl? Very faint scratch on the side, but the top got bumped. It is a husky 570XP

If there’s just a slight scratch and not through any plating and port edges are ok I’d use it. The damage on the cylinder top is insequential and not CSU’s any issues. Clean it up, get a new piston and double check fit by dropping it in cylinder to make sure there’s no high spots or rubbing that can’t be seem. Assemble and go!!

I've never come across this problem. And apparently a 570 piston with a decent price isn't the easiest thing to find

I plan on it. He didn't know what was wrong with it. I thought it had bad bearings. Nope bearings are good

I might just trade or sell this one as it is.

Actually, since the OEM wasn't stellar, I might just try an aftermarket 575xp kit. I can find several of those for less than $50.
