I've seen the other threads on this but I was making my own list and figured I'd share it. These are all the KFW tested hp and weight measurements. I rounded to the nearest tenth. Last number is lbs per hp. The few Jreds I saw were the same as their husky counterparts so I left em off.

My takeaways?
-Current model saws Stihl wins in every class 50-90cc.
-The 462 is damn near at the top and the 572 is muddled in the middle. Stihl clearly take this more seriously as a selling point.
-The Dolmar 7900 and 7300 were exceptional in this category but their later models really dropped off. I really hope Dolmar/Makita can get it back.
-Wringing 5.9 and 5.8hp out of 72cc and 70cc respectively is impressive for both the 462 and 572 although Dolmar had gotten 5.9 out of 73cc 20 years ago.
-That a 462 weighs basically the same as my 6100 is really impressive.
-On paper a 555 looks more appealing to me than a a 562xp or 346xp.
-Their result for the 562xp can't be right......right? Its rated at 4.7 and they tested it at 4.2hp??
-I would happily own, run and be pumped to have any saw on this list.

I guess the weight and hp matters to many end product users(us). Keep it light but powerful. I picked up an older husky 240se the other day and noticed how heavy the older saw is. The saws weight doesn’t bother me but I feel the difference now.

-Current model saws Stihl wins in every class 50-90cc.
Yes, and actually also in 40 cc class (MS 241).

-On paper a 555 looks more appealing to me than a a 562xp or 346xp.
I don't think you can really compare 60cc 555/562xp to 50cc 346xp.

-Their result for the 562xp can't be right......right? Its rated at 4.7 and they tested it at 4.2hp??
It is not correct result. DLG test says 3,5 kW (=4,7 hp): https://pruefberichte.dlg.org/filestorage/6174_12.pdf

All I’m going to say in the field that’s the test. Example years ago I ran my husky 240sg against his Stihl 032. He was halfway into a 16” piece of maple when I started cutting. We can out the bottom together. Both saws were new. He said nothing. The husky was the under dog.

lots of work, tha ks for putting that together. the real world usage is different for sure. if this were the measuring stick, then the 660 would be a better saw than the 394. all brand loyalty aside, that is just not the case. it shows the 441 ahead of the 372xp (xt or oe?). 441 is notoriously regarded as a turd in stock form. 372 is legendary among many... also, did they test the 660/661 with a max flow kit? lol. i do have a hard time believing that the 066/660/661 didnt gain a single ounce in weight over 30 years?
