Hey all,
I recently bought a junked 026 from a guy who said it needed 'some carb work'. It was only $30 so what the hell.
I brought it home, pulled the muffler and found a somewhat deep, single scratch running down about half the piston. To me, it doesn't look like any other damaged piston I've seen on this site.
There is a very slight mark on the jug, but not enough to catch a fingernail. Compression was just over 150 PSI, and it passed vac and pressure tests easily.
I'm new to chainsaw repair and want to see if I should check anything else. I'm assuming the jug will clean up nicely? Sorry for the blurry pics, it was hard to focus.
Thanks
