Here's the 'part number' on the shroud I have, the IPL has it listed as part number 1128 080 1610.
Same shroud with part number 1128 080 1610.

Yes that`s it. Comes also with a plug to close the decompression opening.
Your shroud 1128 080 1610 comes originally from the 044 start automatic version.
Sorry it`s not a good translation from me. I mean the automatic choke version with the bellows.
That`s the correct number, it fits the 044 and MS440. Should still be in the dealer system.

As far as I know, the part from your link is not availible anymore new from the factory.
May be difficult to find a new cover without the decomp hole for the early 044`s. Bryce had some but they are all gone now so they were sold off as old stock from the supply houses. May still be a stocking dealer somewhere with one on the shelf.
I read somewhere Stihl built seven million 044's, does that sound right?
Only 7.mil.
