Older Husqvarna gas and oil caps

I started buying Husqvarnas in 1977. From 162's up through 185's and 2100. I have only a 162se now. I also have several caps. Some of them are vented with little holes along side the knob and a rubber seal inside. Others are not. Anyone know which caps were on which old saws and why? TIA

2100 tank/handle has same size fuel and oil caps. The fuel tank has a vent on top so the cap is sealed. However, the oil tank has no vent so the cap is vented (part no. 50 15 645-02)

I've been looking for these vented caps and they're unobtainable now. The vented ones fit the early 61 practica and 162se.

Take a look on eBay, last I checked I seen one or two. I mite have a early vented oil cap.

Been looking on ebay and a couple other places. So far out of stock. The diaphragm peeled like a petal in my finger. It was already leaking really bad.

Far as I know the early small vented oil caps are all the same size. Some time in the early 80’s they changed to a slightly larger non vented cap, and went to the vented oil tank/case design.

This is probably obvious but I'll say it anyway, but if the tank (fuel or oil) has a separate vent, it doesn't need a vented cap and vice versa. Several models from the 70's and early 80's used vented caps at least partially during their production (140s, 240s,se,sg, 340se,sg, 44, 61, 65, 77, 162, 298, 1100, 2100, 2101, others (?)).

The plastic tanks I have use a tank vent, tube-like part…will try to get pics…
There may be another pt#...need to go through the boxes again

I've been working on an old 79/80 61 rancher white top. Has vented caps and I don't think the tank itself is vented.

What year? There are 2 different ones. I have both
the later ones are available aftermarket for cheap. The early ones don’t exist well, I have one left…

Measure the opening

The small diameter caps screw into a 20.7mm (0.81") hole versus the 23.7mm (0.93") hole of the later saws with the non-venting caps.

1983 61. Older, small cap on top...doesn't fit. It does fit the first generation saws as well as a 44.
