Hi everyone!

I’m looking to buy a saw and was thinking a Dolmar 7900. The dealer has some small dolmars, but not the 7900.

I’ve seen them on the internet in blue, orange and black, all orange. Some say dolmar, some Makita.

Does anyone know what a new 7900 looks like? Does it say dolmar or Makita?

Thanks!

Thanks for the pics gentleman.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed there are no reviews for the Makita or dolmar 7900 on you tube?

Nothing semi recent of a review that I found.
Probably because 7900 is out of production (due to EPA). Look for its successor 7910.

EDIT: To avoid confusions - I meant Dolmar 7900/7910 as the thread title suggests.

There is a difference between Makita and Dolmar model names ;)
Dolmar PS7900 = Makita DCS7900
Dolmar PS7910 = Makita EA7900

I was just saying they are back to the 7900 # being used here. Name changed awhile ago, no more dolmar here.

Oh and PS7900 was a makita 7901 here back then. ;)

Almost ;)
Dolmar PS7900 = Makita DCS7900
Dolmar PS7900HS = Makita DCS7901
difference is that the latter has got decomp valve

You are of course right that Makita is now producing "7900". My point was that it is not the same as "Dolmar 7900" (which is no longer available).
