How do you think this saw would perform for hobby milling?

Bottom line. It's like asking, "I need to pull a 4 ton trailer through a forrest, would the new BMW X3 M be a good car for that?"
Yes a X3 has a load of power, and it has 4WD,
And if you did you could do it relatively quick.
But It is just not the right tool for the job.
For many reasons.
Even a far cheaper old truck would be better.

It would be OK for up to 20" logs with the odd 24" if it was running a reduced pin sprocket and used Lopro chain and had the chain adjusted accordingly.
