how many here own and run bigger cc saws? Run all the time or there waiting in the wings to be put in the action?

I don't think I have any saws that qualify as "bigger." I only have 2: a 201c-em, and a 362c; and the latter probably only qualifies as a "mid-size". I use the 201 for limbing and the small stuff up to about 6" or so. Anything bigger, or if I'm going to do a whole lot of cutting, then the 362 goes into action, all other things being equal. But, I fit the saw to the task - if the cut will require an odd position or reaching, etc., then I'll pick the lighter saw, or even go to a pole pruner.

My regular use saws range from 50cc to 87cc. I seldom if ever use anything smaller.

114cc's and many 77-95cc saws

My main saw for firewood duty is a MS441 running a 20inch bar. Anything more than a couple cuts over 2 ft diameter and I use a 661.

My regular use now is a 385xp. (85cc). Rarely do i get out my 562xp (60cc) now.

All depends on what your cutting, last outing the 660, (90's cc) was used for 90% of the work. Other times, its just the 036 for all the cutting, depends on what you have to cut.

I ran a Husky 390xp for 8 hours today. I was cutting butt flares off so they would go through our mill.

Most of my work is done with 100 cc plus saws and some 70 cc saws for limbing. After limbing I just have some what large logs to go through. It is not hard to go through 15 cords in a day probably 20 if I tried. I just start at one end of an area and just cut after cut. A smaller saw just takes more time. Thanks
