Power company took down a couple of small Alders.
I was able to get them dragged out with the portable winch and hauled off the ridge with the Ranger.

Nice firewood, I always loved alder as it lights easy and burns clean. You can just a out look at it and say split and it almost will. No need to put it up in end, just tap it when it lays. I've cut a bit of it by the Nehalem river. I believe that's kind of in your neck of the woods.
