just got a used 610 ,my first McCulloch, the oil holes in the bar dont line up with oil hole in saw bar plates, when the bar is secured the oiler just gets hard ( cant compress oil) duh - when bar is off oiler works good does the McCulloch 610 take a special bar ? the bar plates look to be original, I could open up one or both bar plates and fix it but I'm sure that I'm just missing something . any help appreciated , also its missing the brake handle , spring and bolt , where could I find these parts ?

found a cover on e bay , thanks
the bar is aftermarket forester, a bar with lower oil holes makes sense, thank you both

could someone with a 610 McCulloch bar please post pics of the saw end showing oil routing ? thanks in advance

If you've taken the bar off and the holes didn't line up with the bar plates the bar won't work properly. Oregon offers a replacement bar and chain combo for the 610.
