Milling Some Black Walnut

Very cool, always had a thing for black walnut. Used to carve knife handles out of pieces I found in the firewood pile as a kid.

Lots of internal stress in those leaners. Could have a perfectly good log then they will unzip right as you mill them or sometimes as you buck them. Hopefully you get enough out of it to make it worth your time.

Cherry, maple, elm, poplar, the timber frame you see in the video is pine and was milled on this sawmill. I mill pretty much whatever comes my way.

That's actually great, I would love to get more into milling simply because of the variety of woods. Either way, thanks for sharing.
