Got offered this Shindaiwa 488p for $65usd ($100au).
5 tanks old before the owner dropped a limb on the top air filter cover and crushed it. He then put it away and hasn't used it since.
.
I would be keen to pick it up and wait to find someone wrecking one and buy the air filter gear.
What do you guys think?

If you have a use for it...... heck, even if you don't........ what does $100 Aussie get you these days?
Probably not even a real bad hangover? :givebeer:
Chances are the part is available new for not a lot of extra cost and you get a good low hour power saw for little outlay.

I just got one
 
I bought one new a few years back. I love them. I recently flipped it to fund a 241cm. But man I have CAD bad. Especially in the 50cc class.

But I think i will pick it up anyway ! Lol
