Whats special about a 10-10 S? I was visiting a friend in NC last year and he had a Yellow glob under the bench. I pulled it out and it's a 10-10 S, missing the chain brake lever. The small engine shop down the road from him has a Mac 200 and a Homelite 150 for $50. That was too much for me. Next time I visit I'm going to offer $35 for both. My friend is the type of guy that buys a quart of TrueFuel in the spring and has a little left in the fall. Should I make him an offer on the 10-10? How much? $15 would be my normal offer for a saw that size?

She is rough but has compression. I'll get a better picture of the plate.

The 10 10s pro mac is a little bit bigger than the regular 10-10 has a decomp button, but its an impressive saw running right , pulls 20" a full comp with authority . I wouldn't hesitate to put a full skip 24 on it.

Didn't get the PM1000, it went for #125. My max was $75. I did get a Homelite XL Automatic that was just tuned cleaned, sharpened chain for $15. Pics in HOMEY thread.

Depending on condition you probably should have bought it because I sold one on eBay for $700. That was years ago so maybe they are higher now?

Tore down the 10-10s too where I think it needs to be, 20190908_092759.jpg 20190908_092743.jpgdown the intake the P/C look pretty good, I'd say it ate alittle dust.20190908_102327.jpg 20190908_102258.jpgweird allen bolts and wrong hardware was all over this saw , all removed now.20190908_101557.jpgI don't believe that the sdc 65 carburetor was correct, so I ordered a 44a online and will rebuild the 65 for my pro 60.
Buy the way I'm looking for the correct top tank now with the external adjustment ports, any body got one? Obviously if you want something pm me.

After many curse words shouted and multiple failed attempts of removing the oil pickup tube from one of my 10-10 parts saw's, the line is now partially split haha. I decided to order two NOS oil pick up tube assemblies. Wish me luck on these future failed attempts of having to install one of these tubes

Only thing that's holding me back from finishing putting together this NOS 10-10S from Bob Johnson!

Allen bolts are a characteristic of the newer ten series. I actually prefer them over a slotted screw.

It was in excellent running condition, but the guy that got it showed no sign of backing down. He knew what it was and is a bigger collector than me. If I bought it, it would be for playing and sitting on the shelf. He was looking at the total value because he buys, sells, and trades. My thing is Homelites, and I only get Macs, if I get them cheap. I picked up an excellent running Mac 550 about 2 years ago for $35 at a yard sale. He had a very nice Mac 15 for $35 also. I took both. I was going to go as high as $75 on the 1000, but the bids blew by $75 before I could raise my hand.

Pull the mufflers on that 605 and 10-10s. The 10-10 is a go the 605 needs a jug n plug

What do you use to seal the carb side of a 10-10 fuel tank? I have a gasket for the fuel side ordered.
