What's the difference between the 026 and 260c ?
I have a 026, but have the opportunity to get a 260c at a reasonable price. Is it an upgrade or no better

Don't think they made a mtronic 260. I do think the 260 came with a more clogged up muffler which would need to be opened up a little. Steve

Until you open up the muff its worse, the 026 muff wasn't clogged up to bad,. Steve

MS260=44.7mm
This is from the factory, many of those saws have been dicked with over the years. Despite less displacement, 026s usually are better runners.

"C " means comfort, I seem to remember.

In the year 2000, they redesignated their chainsaws with MS, which designates this certain type of equipment as "motor saw", or as it's called in Germany; "motorsägen"
