Ported 261

Picked this up from Gnarly Chainsaws of Canada. It's the first ported 261 muffler that they've done. Started with a brand new OEM Stihl 261 muffler. I can't wait to run it and see the difference.

What did they do to the insides? Don't look like a two piece.

Using pieces of pipe for outlets is like what Lakeside53 did a few years back. He fit stihl BR blower screens in, if you are in an area that restricts things without spark arrestors.

Apparent lack of a spark arrestor aside, be prepared for ignited wood from the forward-facing pipes. I tried such a mod some years back - never again, certainly not in fire-prone CA.

Looks nice but atpchas is right, those forward facing pipes do tend to burn the bark on longer cuts.

That's a muffler mod. A ported saw is a different animal.
