Picked up a Stihl 011 AVT and didn’t notice it was leaking gas when running. It seeps out where the guard attaches to the left side. I took the guard off and when I tip it left, it pours out. Thoughts on this?

Someone threaded too long a screw in and damaged the blind hole. Or it wiggled too much and cracked.

The screw and spring are on the clutch side. There's not supposed to be a screw in there, just a pivot hole for the handle and a sleeve. Perhaps it got drilled into by mistake. You might be able to seal that up.

In that parts diagram I don’t have the #2 piece. Do you have the part number for that?

One would need to make a threaded bushing to get it back to proper size.

An 011 is just not worth that much effort IMHO.

An 012 on the other hand deserves careful tinkering.

Lower wrap/AV mount.

As Wood Doctor said, the side where it’s leaking isn’t threaded for a screw, but I do seem to be missing that sleeve.
