441c fuel filter.

Hi all at AS,
I have a very early 441c with the black solenoid and filter.
Is there any advantage by fitting a ORANGE or white filter?
Read a few posts (241/661 etc) and not sure on filter only.
No problem with saw,running great just wondering if a finer mesh filter would protect solenoid more.

They went through the expense to design and manufacture a new filter.
Now, it all depends on your point of view. Did they do it to separate you from your money or is it a product improvement to protect an $80.00 part.?
I feel its the later.
Here, the white filter is $6.99. The new finer orange one is $3.99.

The new filter is worth installing, I would only put the white sol on when black one fails

Thanks dmb I don't think I can run a white sol on my coil.
Could be wrong not up to speed on mtronic gear.

Might just fit a later filter.

Sure, it is still availible. There are many models where the white one can`t be used. So the black one has to be availible for these models.
