I just purchased a husqvarna piston stop that screws into the spark plug hole.

I still like the rope technique but sometimes i wish i had the stop. Now i do.

read about too many mangled pistons with that spark plug piston stopper.... think i will stick to a waxed rope.

I was too lazy to find the Stihl piston stop yesterday so I tried the laces from my climbing boots (people use pull cord right?)...I now have one boot with very short laces AND I had to get up and find the proper piston stop anyway

Bollaxe...just realised I should have put the lace through the spark plug hole and not the exhaust port. It was very late in my defence
