I have a quick question about my Heatmor. There is a thermometer in the front in a well, it just sits in there. Has anyone tried dielectric grease on the probe to help create a contact? I have read that people believe the thermometer doesn't read accurate because there is no immersion.

Dielectric grease in the well?
Just use motor oil...that works good on large commercial hot water boilers.
Doesn't take much to "fill" the well once the bulb is installed either, just FYI...

The problem witth oil is that the well is horizontal. I suppose now that I think about it the grease would probably just melt out too. Wrap some tin foil around the probe?
