Friends,

I'd like to get a few hemostats / locking forceps for chainsaw maintenance but have a couple of questions.

Any particular model / set recommendations?
Is it necessary to get the non-serrated grip models to avoid damaging hoses/lines? I read (on the forum) that someone suggested filing the grips smooth? Perhaps this isn't a concern?

Update, this set looks pretty good:

Thanks for any input!

You can get hemostats at Menards . Our local Ace hardware also had them . Quality seems to be good . As far as which type is a matter of preference . I myself have many in different sizes and also in the curved and straight version. I have never mangled a fuel line or pulse line if it was in good shape but if your concerned about it a piece of plastic fuel line over the jaws will work.
