Is there supposed to be a gasket there?

My Poulan S25DA doesn't have a gasket between the exhaust manifold and the muffler. I can't tell if it takes one on in the book or not. Does yours have one? I'm wondering if I should make one and put it on there before I put it back on or just bolt it on and forget it.

I’d just say bolt on tight and forget
