I have a Stihl 012 AV. Sat a long time. I removed carburetor and changed vent and fuel lines. I soaked carb, blew out all holes and rebuilt it. Will run if primed but not otherwise. Any ideas?

I did rebuild it. The kit was from the dealer so I believe it was correct one and parts matched. Just don't know what's wrong.

Never heard of an 012 but such an animal must exist if Harley is putting up part numbers.

It appears in the Ohio region pricelist. It should be available there too.
Yeah, the 012, is just a big brother to the 009,010, 011.
Could take the .325 chain too.

It’s the only one of that series that is actually worth a ****. [emoji16]

I've had the bigger bore (38mm) version of the 009 top handle. It was a decent saw for trimming in the apple orchard or cutting wood for a fire ice fishing.

Agreed the 012 with bigger bore has more grunt.

Those reed valve motors have a real wide power band and tend not to bog. Reminds me of a bigger Homelite XL, not real powerfull but would pull a good cut without bogging down.
